Welcome to the website of Mongil Rock View Hotel Soroti (“the Hotel”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, online booking services, and any related digital platforms (collectively, the “Website”).

By accessing or using the Website, making a reservation, or staying at the Hotel, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using this Website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements. If you are booking on behalf of others, you confirm that you have their authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.

You may use the Website only for lawful purposes related to inquiring about or booking accommodation and services at Mongil Rock View Hotel Soroti.

3. Reservations and Bookings

All bookings made through the Website are subject to availability and confirmation by the Hotel.
A reservation is confirmed only when you receive written confirmation (email or otherwise) from us and, where required, a deposit or full payment has been received.
Rates displayed on the Website are in Ugandan Shillings (UGX) or such other currency as indicated and are subject to change without notice until a booking is confirmed.
You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when making a reservation. You are responsible for any errors in the information you provide.
Guests must present valid government-issued photo identification (and passport for international guests) upon check-in. Failure to do so may result in refusal of accommodation.

4. Check-In and Check-Out

Standard check-in time is 2:00 PM (or as otherwise advised).
Standard check-out time is 11:00 AM (or as otherwise advised).
Early check-in or late check-out may be available subject to availability and additional charges.
The Hotel reserves the right to reassign rooms of equal or higher standard if necessary.

5. Payment Terms

Payment methods accepted will be as indicated at the time of booking (cash, mobile money, bank transfer, or approved cards).
A deposit or full prepayment may be required to secure a reservation, especially during peak periods or for group bookings.
All rates are exclusive of applicable taxes and service charges unless otherwise stated. Guests are responsible for any applicable taxes.
Currency conversion (if applicable) will be at the rate determined by the Hotel or its payment processor on the date of transaction.

6. Cancellation, Amendment and No-Show Policy

Cancellation and amendment policies vary by rate type and season. Specific terms will be stated at the time of booking and in your confirmation.
As a general guide (subject to the specific rate conditions):
- Cancellations made within the free-cancellation window (if any) will receive a full refund of any deposit paid.
- Late cancellations or no-shows may result in charges of up to the full amount of the reserved stay or a minimum of one night’s room rate.
Early departure may incur charges for the remaining nights of the reserved stay.
Group bookings, conference packages, and special event bookings are subject to separate cancellation terms that will be provided in writing.

7. Hotel Rules and Guest Conduct

Guests must comply with all Hotel rules, including those relating to noise, smoking (if designated areas apply), visitors, and use of facilities.
The Hotel reserves the right of admission. We may refuse service or require a guest to leave if their behaviour is disorderly, offensive, illegal, or poses a risk to other guests, staff, or property.
Pets are generally not permitted unless expressly agreed in advance (service animals may be accommodated in accordance with applicable law).
Guests are responsible for any damage to Hotel property caused by them or their visitors and may be charged for repair or replacement costs.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Website (including text, images, logos, graphics, and design) is the property of Mongil Rock View Hotel Soroti or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without our prior written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

The Website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
To the fullest extent permitted by Ugandan law, the Hotel and its owners, management, and staff shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Website or stay at the Hotel, except in cases of proven gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Our total liability arising out of or related to these Terms or your stay shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the relevant booking.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Force Majeure

The Hotel shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, pandemics, civil unrest, strikes, power failures, or other force majeure events.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Website and provision of personal information is also governed by our Privacy Policy (if published separately). By using the Website, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data in accordance with applicable Ugandan data protection laws.
